About Us
Since their arrival in Hamburg in the 18th century, the Lutteroth family has been active in international trade and shipping. Following Hamburg’s Hanseatic merchant tradition, the family has upheld the values of entrepreneurship, long-term partnerships and social responsibility.
The last bearer of the family name, Ascan Hermann Lutteroth (1933 – 2014), served for decades as Managing Partner of one of Hamburg’s leading shipping companies. His daughters reorganized the family’s shipping interests and in 2026 founded their own ship-owning and real estate investment company “Lutteroth Lloyd”, in short “LL”.
